From Beta To Alpha Life
1) There are many ways to be unremarkably average
2) And most of us have been conditioned to stay average
3) For some Cultural Reason we consider
a) Average to be Safe
b) Challenge to be Risky
4) Most in the 20th century have been conditioned to think that the safest thing is a 9 to 5 job
5) We have been conditioned to see successful life in sitting at a desk for 40 hours a week, qualifying for the the largest loan and spending the next 20 years paying a large EMI
6) And at Retirement when salary stops and when you need regular Cash flow to spend on daily necessities you realise that what you thought to be an Asset is actually nothing but a White Elephant incapable of yielding the cash flow for a respectful life
7) For some reason we leave our career in the hands of somebody else with the hope that he will look after everything
8) And ironically, we take the responsibility of managing our own money instead of taking professional guidance
9) So in a sense we are conditioned to allow someone else to choose our destination
10) While we are not concerned about the destination, we are only concerned about the expenses of hiring a chauffeur for the journey
11) As a result we make the choice of chauffeuring the car to a destination unknown to us
12) And this to us is means “playing safe”
13) In the 21st century the game of life has changed
14) The onus of deciding the destination is upon us
15) And hiring a Chauffeur instead of becoming one, is the way to harness new opportunities that you spot an route
I rest my case
