The Real Meaning of Investing

Or

How Mindless Investing is a Curse

To know more read on …..

1) While Driving a Car, there are two key aspects ; Accelerator to speed up and experience the Thrill and Brakes to slow down and feel safe

2) Can there be a car with either only Accelerator or only Brakes

3) Likewise in an investment portfolio you need Equities as Accelerators ans Debt as Shock Absorbers so that the journey of investing is pleasant

4) In marrying, one looks for a good looking spouse as the accelerator and a good natured and matured person as the shock absorber

5) a Beautiful flower often sits upon a stem which has thorns all over

6) Even someone who studies hard should also play hard to experience happiness

7) But when it comes to investing, we tend to look at mindless saving

8) It is only a one way journey

9) Most advisors say that they help people invest, invest and invest

10) This philosophy makes people compulsive investors and eventually lead people to live poor and die rich

11) But true service to people is to help them become wise spenders

12) The ability to spend the right amount of money at the right point of time is the true essence of life and living

13) A true Advisor is one who helps people by providing them the power to spend

14) Investing & compounding are necessary but they are not sufficient

15) They are the means to an end but not the end in itself

16) Investing is like the fuel which is needed to make a journey and reach a destination

17) But fuel by itself is not sufficient

18) You need to buy a car to complete the journey

19) Thus a Financial Advisor needs to see himself as a life coach

20) While at one end he must make them invest their money on the other hand he must also empower, encourage and provide them the conviction to spend the right amount of money at the right point in time

I rest my case
